Drumming Up Vibrations: An Autobiography of Musician's Career Starting in the 60's

"Was purchased as a gift. The supplier provided excellent and very fast service. The recipient of this item was extremely please. I quote the recipient "This is written poignantly and for those who knew Tony Jackson it can be quite heart wrenching reading. A very authentic account".

Other artists are mentioned in the book too and this good reading for those who like to read true stories about some of the great artists of that great era."

Drumming Up Vibrations: An Autobiography of Musician's Career Starting in the 60's

"I've just finished reading this fantastic book by Paul Francis. Paul recalls stories from his days drumming for Rolf Harris, Tony Jackson and Maggie Bell among others with real charm. Paul's anecdotes are delivered in a casual, down to earth way which makes his encounters with the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones and plenty more, even more captivating. The later sections about Tony Jackson are touching and it's clear that Paul really cared for his old friend and colleague, especially during Tony's last days.

I've never read a book by a jobbing musician, and it's really refreshing to hear things from a different view point. Paul really has worked amongst some movers and shakers during (in my opinion) some of the most exciting years for modern music. The book also contains lots of press clippings and promotional bits and bobs from his time in bands.

This is a great read, especially if you've an interest in music from the sixties and seventies."
